Job summary

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of parts sales experience, preferably in the HVAC, Plumbing, or Electric field.
• Warehouse or stocking experience, including forklift and pallet jack.
• Experience in an environment with walk-in/call-in customer orders.
• Demonstrated superior customer service skills.
• Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Reliable daily transportation and a valid NYS driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Meet and greet customers at point of sale with service, respect, and knowledge.
• Consult with customers to analyze needs and determine the appropriate level of service/sales.
• Pick materials from warehouse to fill orders.
• Assist with deliveries to customers as needed.
• Assist with stocking materials in the warehouse and loading/unloading vehicles.
• Use company systems to improve planning and collect customer history.
• Maintain a neat counter area and product displays.
• Review open order reports weekly.
• Build and maintain customer relationships.
• Demonstrate product knowledge and articulate competitive advantages.
• Stay up to date on market, customers, suppliers, and competitors.
• Learn and demonstrate product line features and functionality.
• Provide occasional order picking and miscellaneous warehouse duties.

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking to hire a Counter Sales Associate with at least 1 year of relevant plumbing, HVAC or Electric experience to join our Dansville branch.

The perfect candidate will have a valid NYS state driver's license, experience with forklifts and pallet jacks, and fantastic customer service experience!

Requirements

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of parts sales experience, preferably in the HVAC, Plumbing, or Electric field.
• Warehouse or stocking experience, including experience with forklift and pallet jacks preferably.
• Previous experience in environment with walk-in/call-in customer orders.
• Demonstrated superior customer service skills.
• Strong computer skills, including high proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Must have reliable daily transportation to branch location and a valid NYS driver's license in good standing.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

• This job operates in a retail setting.
• This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.
• Frequent standing on feet up to 8 hours/day and some lifting or carrying of items up to 50 pounds.
