Alameda Electrical Distributors & California Service Tool in Dublin, CA is hiring a full-time Counter Sales Associate to support our branch. You will assist customers in person or by phone, enter orders, and promote related products to meet sales goals.

The role requires a high school diploma, familiarity with electrical equipment, and the ability to lift 50 pounds. We offer a competitive hourly pay range of $24.25–$28.00, quarterly bonuses, comprehensive insurance, a 401(k) plan with match, and

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience in the electrical industry and/or familiarity with electrical equipment and power tools is preferred.
• Familiarity with warehouse and delivery operations
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to lift 50 or more pounds
• Ability to work a Monday - Friday 6:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. schedule
• Overtime may be required as needed

Responsibilities

• Assist customers during the sales process; upsell complementary products
• Enter orders into the computer system accurately
• Maintain knowledge of product catalogs and promotions
• Understand the full sales process from order to payment
• Maintain counter area and product displays; stock shelves
• Support warehouse tasks including stocking and inventory
• Assist with shipping/receiving and UPS processes
• Occasionally operate a forklift

Responsibilities:

• Assistcustomers (in person or over the phone) during the sales process; up sellcomplementary products
• Correctly enterthe customer order in the computer system
• Maintainan awareness of all product knowledge information (including product catalogs, price sheets, etc.), merchandise promotions, test merchandise and advertisements; marketall products sold and suggestreplacement/alternative products when appropriate
• Maintaina working knowledge of the entire sales process from start to finish (including the order, billing, delivery and payment processes)
• Assistin maintaining the counter, merchandising and product display area assuring a safe, clean and orderly environment;assembleand stockproduct displays and shelves and preparecustomer refreshments
• Assistin warehouse duties such as stocking, labeling shelves, restocking show room, inventory of goods, cycle counting, etc. in a manner which assures an orderly and safe work environment
• Assistwith the shipping and receiving processes as needed including training on the UPS shipment process
• Occasionally operatea forklift to assist in warehouse duties
