Heritage Landscape Supply Group in Highland, MI is seeking a full-time Counter Sales/Customer role to handle accurate order entry, friendly customer service, and efficient checkout at the sales counter. You will interact by phone, email, and in person, process transactions, and support inventory with cycle counts.

This role works Monday–Friday with overtime during peak seasons, requires flexibility, basic computer skills, and the ability to work outdoors in varied conditions.

Heritage Landscape Supply Group is seeking a FT Counter Sales/Customer sales role is a key customer touchpoint, responsible for accurate order entry and smooth customer interactions. The position requires strong multitasking skills, including processing orders, maintaining inventory accuracy, and coordinating logistics to support delivery timelines. This full‑time role runs Monday through Friday, with overtime during peak seasons, requiring flexibility and dedication.

Key Responsibilities

Provide exceptional customer service by interacting with clients through phone, email, and in‑person consultations, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times. Accurately process and manage customer transactions at the sales counter using the company’s computer system to ensure efficient and precise order fulfillment. Contribute to inventory management by participating in cycle counts. Collaborate with management and team members to communicate customer needs and special order material requests, enhancing product offerings and service delivery. Work collaboratively with warehouse and sales team members to ensure efficient operations and exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include a mix of sales counter duties and various other tasks, supported by modern sales systems and a commitment to maintaining an organized workspace.

Minimum Qualifications

Prior experience in a customer service or sales role is preferred; experience in managing customer relationships with a focus on customer satisfaction, retention, and loyalty, ensuring a personalized and positive purchasing experience. Proficiency in basic computer operations and internet navigation. Experience or familiarity with point‑of‑sale systems and order entry procedures. Ability to work in varied conditions, including outdoor environments. Willingness and ability to work overtime as needed during the peak season. Capability to pass a pre‑employment background/drug test. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a PLUS. Previous experience with irrigation or landscaping products.

Minimum Education

A high school diploma or equivalent or combination of education and experience.

Minimum Years of Work Experience

Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
