Job summary

PBS Supply is seeking a Counter Associate in Lyons, NY. The position pays $20.00–$27.00 per hour with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 4:00/5:00 PM.

You will greet customers, help with orders, check product availability, and assist with pricing and parts research in a fast-paced retail setting. As a locally owned distributor focusing on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical products, PBS Supply values teamwork, problem solving, and exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds throughout the workday.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide an outstanding PBS Supply experience.
• Assist customers with placing orders and checking product availability.
• Pull, verify, and package products for counter customers.
• Research parts, pricing, and availability from outside vendors.
• Stock shelves, face merchandise, and replenH pipe racks daily.
• Create product transfers when inventory is unavailable.
• Process returns, debit memos, and warranty claims.
• Prepare customer bids and quotes.
• Effectively multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
