Job summary

Strategic Therapy Associates, Inc. seeks mental health professionals to provide in-home, community, and school-based counseling across Virginia.

Masters level staff and QMHP-eligible bachelor's holders are welcome; this role focuses on keeping families together and preventing institutional placement. Offer flexible schedules, supervision toward licensure, and opportunities for training in Strategic Family Therapy and The Nurtured Heart Approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in a human services field (QMHP eligible) or a Master's in Marriage & Family Therapy, Counseling or Social Work.
• Prior mental health experience (community-based a plus).
• Flexible, family-oriented, optimistic, and open-minded.
• Ability to work afternoons/evenings and some weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling in homes, communities, or schools.
• Provide outpatient, community, and school-based therapy (masters level only).
• Conduct clinical assessments and crisis services (masters level only).
• Help clients resolve issues to prevent institutionalization and keep families together.

What You'll Do:

• Help clients resolve issues to prevent institutionalization and keep families together.
• Provide counseling in homes, communities, or schools.
• Provide outpatient, community, and school-based therapy (masters level only).
• Conduct clinical assessments and crisis services (masters level only).
• Help clients resolve issues to avoid institutionalization.
• Build strong rapport and apply creative techniques.

We're Looking For:

• At least a Bachelor's in a human services field (QMHP eligible) or a Masters in Marriage & Family Therapy, Counseling tor Social work (resident/supervisee eligible).
• Prior mental health experience (community-based a plus).
• Flexible, family-oriented, optimistic, and open-minded.
• Ability to work afternoons/evenings and some weekends.
• Safe driver, auto insurance, personal vehicle, and good driving record.
