San José-Evergreen Community College District through Evergreen Valley College is seeking a Counselor for the Umoja/AFFIRM program. The role is a full‑time, 11‑month assignment within the Division of Student Services, with possible day/evening responsibilities and calendar adjustments.

Salary Range
Salary Range $110,451 to $151,619 Entry Level Annual Salary (Academic Salary Schedule 2026-2027); Maximum Salary Potential $196,722. Note: Actual Salary placement is based on candidate’s verified education and experience.

This faculty position is a full-time, 100% FTE Temporary, One Year, Categorical, Non-tenured (11 Months, August – June) as Counselor, Umoja/ AFFIRM the Division of Student Services located at Evergreen Valley College. Assignment may include day and evening responsibilities. Some workdays may be assigned outside the eleven-month academic calendar. This position is represented by the San Jose/Evergreen Federation of Teachers, AFT 6157.

Degree(s) must have been awarded by a college or university accredited by an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Council on Post-Secondary Accreditation and/or the U.S. Department of Education.
All degrees and credits earned outside of the United States must have a U.S. evaluation (course by course) of the transcripts and must be submitted with the application.
Degrees earned outside of the U.S. without a U.S. credential evaluation attached, will not be considered.
