Job summary

Rediscover is seeking a Counselor Technician to join the CoEd Department in a mission-driven nonprofit serving Missouri residents. You will monitor clients, facilitate activities, and support treatment goals in a safe, respectful environment within our CoEd Substance Use Disorder program.

The role emphasizes confidentiality, teamwork, and dependable communication. A high school diploma and a valid Missouri driver’s license are required, with orientation provided and opportunities for growth in

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Missouri Class E driver’s license (or equivalent).
Must carry insurance on the vehicle used for work.
Experience with mental illness and substance use disorders preferred.
Excellent customer service with a recovery focus.
Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
Intermediate computer skills: typing, Word, Excel, and email.

Responsibilities

Monitors clients in a safe environment and documents safety rounds.
Facilitates structured activities aligned with clients' goals and treatment plan.
Demonstrates culturally competent respect for clients, guests, and staff.
Maintains cleanliness of the program space.
Safeguards Protected Health Information and maintains confidentiality; documents in EMR system.
