Job summary

Cortica is seeking a fully remote, part-time Counselor to join its growing multi-disciplinary team. A current and unrestricted license to practice in Arizona is required for this position.

You will provide counseling to children, parents, siblings, and other caregivers via telehealth, using evidence-based approaches within an interdisciplinary clinic.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or doctorate in psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or related field.
  • Current unrestricted license to practice independently as a Clinical Social Worker, Professional Clinical Counselor, or Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of practice; licensed in the state where Cortica operates for at least 1 year.
  • Knowledgeable in empirically supported psychotherapy approaches including cognitive/behavioral, postmodern, social-constructionism, and narrative therapy.
  • 1+ years of experience working with children or families in a counseling setting.
  • Ability to obtain Mental Health Provider licensure in all states where Cortica has a presence within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct client counseling services to families, couples, and children via telehealth.
  • Utilize empirically supported therapies drawn from Narrative Therapy, CBT, Play Therapy, Solution Focused Collaborative Therapy, and others.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and families to ensure wraparound support and information sharing.
  • Participate in family care meetings with other providers as needed.
  • Possible involvement in clinical mentorship through the Clinical Ladder Program.

Cortica is looking for a fully remote, part time Counselor to join its growing multi-disciplinary team!

What will you do?
  • Deliverdirectclient counseling services to families, couples, and children(patients, their parents,siblingsand/or other stakeholders) through telehealth.
  • Utilize empirically supported therapeutic approaches that draw from a variety ofdisciplines and are tailored to the needs of each client. This may include NarrativeTherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Solution FocusedCollaborative Therapy, and others.
  • Attend to relational ethics while collaborating with others in the interdisciplinary teamand the families we serve, actively engaging other team members to ensure wraparoundsupport for the family and sharing of information and ideas.
  • Participate in family care meetings with other providers, as needed.
  • Additionalresponsibilities may be added, such as clinical mentorship, withparticipation in our Clinical Ladder Program.
We’dlove to hear from you if:
  • Youholda master’s degree or doctorate in psychology, counseling, marriageand family therapy, or a related field.
  • You possess a current unrestricted license to practice independently as a ClinicalSocial Worker, Professional Clinical Counselor (or equivalent), or Marriage and FamilyTherapist in the state where you will be working and have been licensed within thestate where you will be practicing atCorticafor at least 1 year.
  • You are well-grounded and knowledgeable in a variety of empirically supportedpsychotherapy treatment approaches including, but not limited to, cognitive andbehavioral, postmodern/post-structural, social-constructionism, and narrativetherapy.
  • You bring1+ years of experience working with children or families with developmentaldifferences in a counseling environment.
  • You can obtain Mental Health Provider licensure in all state(s) where you areeligibleandCorticahas a presence within60 daysfollowing your hire date.

The base pay range for this opening is $47.80/hr to $59.74/hr . According to your skill level, relevant experience, education level, and location, you will receive compensation that fits appropriately within the range.
