clinical services to students seeking services at the Counseling Center.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Triage and crisis intervention.
  • Limited individual and group counseling as indicated.
  • Selected outreach efforts.
  • Provide referral resources to students, faculty and staff. Consult with residence hall directors, residence hall assistants, colleagues, deans, departments, faculty, staff, student groups and community as needed.
  • Provide crisis intervention services for students, faculty and staff.
  • Work with the Counseling Center consulting psychiatrist: Make referrals as needed, consult about these referrals, attend the case Review Meeting.
Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Masters Degree or PhD in a psychology/counseling field and experience as a generalist clinician with young adults. 3-5 years of experience. Ability to work independently and to prioritize and execute multiple tasks consistent with assigned timeline; Able to work in a team environment; Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to deal with diverse constituencies; Strong computer competency, to include proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (including Access), and web-based and social media applications; Demonstrated attention to detail, professional attitude, and ability to maintain confidentiality and meet documentation requirements. Seek supervision and consultation as needed.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Doctoral degree WI state license or certification Experience with counseling in a college setting. Training in telebehavioral health service delivery Experience in several of the following issues: cross cultural counseling, eating disorders, sexual violence, career counseling, alcohol/drug abuse assessment and treatment, group therapy, crisis intervention, suicide Prevention, Grief/loss, Trauma, And/or Prevention Education.
