Job summary

SC Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Disabilities (SCDBHDD) seeks a Counselor II to join the Beckman Center team. The role focuses on IPS-based employment services, community and home-based support, and collaboration with ACT Team members to help adults achieve competitive employment within Beckman’s catchment area.

You will assess client strengths, provide job development, and support long-term wellness while navigating documentation, compliance, and coordination with care teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in guidance, counseling or the social sciences is required.

Responsibilities

• Engage patients within the ACT Team and build trust to support competitive employment.
• Conduct vocational assessments, job development and job search activities aligned with IPS and supported employment.
• Maintain caseload management, complete Collaborative Documentation and EMR promptly while delivering services.
• Provide benefits counseling and connect clients to experts for more extensive assistance.
• Offer on-site and community-based supports to promote stability and maintain employment.
