Job summary

SC Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Disabilities (SCDBHDD) seeks a Counselor II - ACT Team / Employment Services at Beckman Center in Greenwood, SC. You will engage clients from the ACT Team, perform vocational assessments, and support competitive employment in the community and in-home settings.

Responsibilities include caseload management (up to 20 clients), documentation in EMR, and providing benefits counseling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in guidance, counseling or the social sciences.
• Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.
• At least one year experience with adults with SMI and at least 6 months providing employment/educational supports.

Responsibilities

• Engage patients in ACT Team to work toward competitive employment in community settings.
• Conduct vocational assessments focused on strengths, preferences, and job trials.
• Carry a caseload of up to 20 patients with EMR documentation and collaborative notes.
• Provide benefits counseling and connect to experts as needed.
• Offer interventions and on-site support to promote stability and successful employment outcomes.
• Consult and educate ACT team members on IPS-based supported employment methods.
• Adhere to compliance and safety policies and complete required trainings.
