The State of South Carolina’s Office of Mental Health seeks a Counselor II / Employment Support for the ACT Team in Aiken. You will work with adults with Serious Mental Illness, providing employment and psychosocial support within the IPS framework, and coordinate with care teams to promote meaningful employment.

Responsibilities include vocational assessments, job development, benefits counseling, and on-site support in community settings.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in guidance, counseling or the social sciences required.
• At least 1 year experience working with adults with SMI and at least 6 months providing employment and educational supports.

Responsabilidades

• Engage patients on the ACT Team to pursue competitive employment.
• Conduct vocational assessments focused on strengths and preferences.
• Perform IPS-based job development and job search activities.
• Provide time-unlimited follow-along employment support.
• Provide psychosocial rehabilitation services in relation to employment.
• Maintain caseload up to 20 patients with proper documentation.
• Collaborate with patients/caregivers; document in EMR promptly.
• Provide benefits counseling and connect to experts as needed.
• Offer on-site support and interventions to promote stability and success.
• Assist employers with job accommodations when needed.
• Educate and consult ACT team members on IPS and supported employment.
• Participate in clinical treatment team and mandatory trainings.
