Job summary

Sunrise Detox is seeking a Counselor to join our premiere detox center. You will facilitate group sessions, manage new patient intake, and support clients through the withdrawal process in a dignified setting.

Schedule includes one weekend shift per week, full-time commitment, and opportunities for career advancement. Responsibilities include case management, documentation in patient records, and addressing patient concerns to ensure safe, supportive care.

Qualifications

• Minimum one-year experience in substance abuse field, detox preferred.
• Experience conducting group sessions.
• Education requirements as listed: Master’s toward licensure or Bachelor’s with certification.

Responsibilities

• Handle new patient intake and orientation.
• Lead orientation groups and conduct group sessions.
• Address patient concerns and mitigate AMA risk.
• Provide case management and document in medical records.

Sunrise Detox: Position Title: Counselor

Sunrise Detox is a premiere center for drug and alcohol detox. Sunrise promises to give you one of the most comfortable medical detox processes available. We believe in creating a different experience where our road to recovery is dignified. Our clients reside in comfortable modern, elegantly furnished rooms where good nutrition is also an essential part of the detoxification process. We offer individual and group counseling to clients and bring in 12 Step meetings to show clients they are not alone once they leave treatment.

Duties/Responsibilities

• New patient intake and orientation
• Facilitates orientation groups with patients
• Conducts group sessions for all patients
• Addresses patient's concerns and helps eliminate possibility of AMA
• Provides Case Management
• Documentation in patient medical record

Requirements

• Minimum one-year experience in substance abuse field, detox preferred
• Experience conducting group sessions
• Minimum Education: Master’s working towards licensure or Bachelors with a certification
• Flexibility and willingness are great attributes

Schedule

• Full Time
• 1 Weekend shift per week required

Compensation

• Hourly rate competitive with experience and location
