Job summary

Sunrise Detox in Florida seeks a dedicated Counselor to guide detox clients through intake, orientation, and ongoing treatment planning. You will provide individual and group counseling, incorporating 12 Step meetings to support recovery and reduce relapse risk.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a related field and at least one year of experience in the substance abuse field, with detox experience preferred.

• Experience conducting group sessions.

• Flexibility and willingness are great attributes.

Position Title: Counselor

Sunrise Detox is a premiere center for drug and alcohol detox. Sunrise promises to give you one of the most comfortable medical detox processes available. We believe in creating a different experience where our road to recovery is dignified. Our clients reside in comfortable modern, elegantly furnished rooms where good nutrition is also an essential part of the detoxification process. We offer individual and group counseling to clients and bring in 12 Step meetings to show clients they are not alone once they leave treatment.

Duties/Responsibilities

• New patient intake and orientation
• Facilitates orientation groups with patients
• Conducts group sessions for all patients
• Addresses patient's concerns and helps eliminate possibility of AMA
• Provides Case Management
• Documentation in patient medical record

Requirements

Schedule

• Full Time
• 8:00AM - 4:30PM
• Must be open to 1 Weekend shift per week OR rotating weekends

Compensation

• Hourly rate competitive with experience and location
