Job summary

Spero Health in Columbia, KY is seeking a licensed counselor or social worker to join our integrated care team delivering counseling, case management and medically assisted treatment for patients. You will participate in a patient-centered approach that treats the whole person and supports recovery through evidence-based practices.

The Counselor's responsibilities include initial assessment, ongoing patient care, education, and collaborating to ensure accountability of the treatment program.

Qualifications

• Education: Master's Degree in a human services field.
• Experience: 1 year full-time or internship in a human-services setting or Master's in behavioral science.
• License: CSW, LCSW, LPCC, LPCA, LMFT, LCADC-A, LCADC.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessment and ongoing patient care.
• Provide counseling to patients through evidenced-based practice.
• Provide patient education.
• Ensure accountability of treatment program and patient compliance through collaboration.
• Assist patients in creating realistic goals toward achieving freedom from addiction.

Requirements

LICENSED COUNSELOR/SOCIAL WORKER EDUCATION:

• Education: Minimum, Master's Degree in a human services field (psychology, sociology, social work, family studies, human services, counseling, nursing, or another human service degree program related to working with individuals with substance use disorders.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of full‑time employment/internship working in a human‑services setting OR Master's Degree in behavioral science, as defined above.
• License: CSW, LCSW, LPCC, LPCA, LMFT, LCADC-A, LCADC
