Job summary

Spero Health in Columbia, KY is seeking a licensed Counselor or Social Worker to join our integrated care team, delivering counseling, case management and support for substance use treatment. You will collaborate with the care team to help patients achieve lasting recovery.

Responsibilities include initial assessments, ongoing patient care, education, and ensuring program compliance; licensed candidates with CSW/LCSW/LPCC/LPCA/LMFT/LCADC are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in a human services field (psychology, sociology, social work, family studies, human services, counseling, nursing, or related)
• Minimum 1 year of full-time employment/internship in a human-services setting OR master's degree in behavioral science
• Licenses: CSW, LCSW, LPCC, LPCA, LMFT, LCADC-A, LCADC

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessment and ongoing patient care.

This position is for a licensed counselor or social worker who supports the mission of “Saving Lives, Instilling Hope and Restoring Relationships” in an integrated team with patients receiving counseling, case management and medically assisted treatment. The Counselor's responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Conduct initial assessment and ongoing patient care.
• Provide counseling to patients through evidenced-based practice.
• Provide patient education.

• Assist patients in creating realistic goals toward achieving freedom from addiction.
• Act as a clinic resource and assure compliance with HIPPA and CFR42 Part 2 regulations.

Requirements

LICENSED COUNSELOR/SOCIAL WORKER EDUCATION:

• Education: Minimum, Master's Degree in a human services field (psychology, sociology, social work, family studies, human services, counseling, nursing, or another human service degree program related to working with individuals with substance use disorders.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of full-time employment/internship working in a human-services setting OR Master's Degree in behavioral science, as defined above.
• License: CSW, LCSW, LPCC, LPCA, LMFT, LCADC-A, LCADC
