Job summary

Spectrum Health Systems in Bridgewater, MA is hiring a Counselor to provide inmate education under Department of Correction guidelines. The role requires a 4-year degree or equivalent, and reports to program leadership; schedule is days, 40 hours weekly.

The Counselor will document curriculum delivery, participate in weekly multidisciplinary meetings, and support programming that may include evenings and weekends to meet organizational needs.

Qualifications

• BA/MA or 2 years equivalent experience in criminal justice, human services, education or closely related field required.
• DOC experience and/or Alcohol/ Drug certification preferred.

• Ensuring that all inmates are provided with education in the assigned curriculum approved by the Department of Correction and are responsible for written documentation in the case records.
• Participating in a multi-disciplinary team meeting on a weekly basis or as directed.
• Working the hours required to meet the business needs of the organization including the ability to work more than 40 hours in a work week which may include evening and weekend programming.

• Pay rate: $26.92/hour ($56,000 annually) If candidates are able to successfully complete and pass an internal Spanish Fluency Assessment, employees would be eligible for a 10% salary increase, $29.6154/hour (61,000 annually)
