Job summary

Spectrum Health Systems, Inc. in Framingham, MA supports inmates through education programs approved by the Massachusetts Department of Corrections. The Counselor will provide instruction in the assigned curriculum and maintain thorough documentation in case records.

This full-time role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, weekly meetings, and flexibility to work beyond 40 hours including evenings and weekends as needed. A BA/MA or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

• BA/MA or 2 years equivalent experience in criminal justice, human services, education or closely related field required
• DOC experience and/or Alcohol/ Drug certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that all inmates are provided with education in the assigned curriculum approved by the Department of Correction and are responsible for written documentation in the case records
• Participating in a multi-disciplinary team meeting on a weekly basis or as directed
• Working the hours required to meet the business needs of the organization including the ability to work more than 40 hours in a work week which may include evening and weekend programming

Job description

Location: Framingham, MA - Massachusetts Department of Corrections

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Pay rate: $26.92/hour ($56,000 annually). If candidates are able to successfully complete and pass an internal Spanish Fluency Assessment, employees would be eligible for a 10% salary increase, $29.6154/hour (61,000 annually)
