Job summary

Adams and Associates, Inc. in the United States seeks a Career Counseling Manager to lead the Introduction to Career Preparation Program and oversee counseling and case management for Job Corps students.

You will recruit, develop, and supervise staff, ensuring student progress, retention, and successful completion while maintaining program integrity and high-quality supervision.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited school, including at least 15 semester hours in Social Services-related instruction.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in counseling or a related field.
  • Master's degree from an accredited school (preferred).
  • Experience with Job Corps or related program (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Lead Counseling & Career Preparation; oversee the program and student services.
  • Supervise and manage Counseling & Career Preparation Program staff; hire, coach, develop, and address performance.
  • Ensure student progress, retention, and completion; evaluate progress and student panels.
  • Promote student success and center culture; engage leadership and after-hours programming.
  • Collaborate with Center leadership and across departments; ensure confidentiality and integrity of data.

Oversee and manage evaluations of student progress and student panels, and help the Center meet or exceed DOL/Company performance goals.Build & Develop Your TeamSupervise and manage the Counseling and Career Preparation Program and staff. Interview and recommend candidates for hire, evaluate performance, and coach, develop, and hold staff accountable. Fill vacancies promptly, provide required and supplemental training, employ sound time-management and delegation, motivate and empower your team, recognize accomplishments, and proactively address performance concerns.Champion Student Success & CultureServe as an active member ensuring case management and success teams are effective systems for student success. Positively contribute to the Center's culture by treating students with care and respect, helping them achieve personal and career goals, and ensuring they feel safe and welcomed. Ensure students are actively engaged in leadership and after-hours programming that promotes achievement, and provide high-quality supervision that positively influences student behavior.Represent, Collaborate & Uphold IntegrityFollow all integrity guidelines and ensure strict confidentiality of sensitive information and student data. Develop community linkages for education, employment, Career Technical Training, and Work-Based Learning, and build meaningful relationships with elected officials that promote a positive image of the Center and Job Corps.
