What You’ll Do (Your Impact)

Guide & Mentor: Deliver personal, educational, and career counseling to students. Build trusted, supportive mentoring relationships that foster a safe, welcoming, and inclusive campus culture.

Provide Strategic Case Management: Track and assess student progress across academics, technical training, and independent living. Create and update customized Personal Career Development Plans to ensure high retention and graduation rates.

Collaborate Across Campus: Partner closely with residential staff and career management teams to provide seamless, wrap-around support for students.

Facilitate Growth & Evaluations: Manage student progress evaluations, career success ratings, and assessment conferences. Ensure students stay actively engaged in social development and after-hours leadership programming.

Protect Data & Privacy: Maintain absolute confidentiality of sensitive student information. Keep precise, high-quality case notes and records with zero data manipulation, ensuring compliance with Department of Labor (DOL) standards.

Lead Programs (As Assigned): Provide supervision and operational oversight for the Career Preparation Period (CPP) program and staff as required.

What You Bring

Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited school, which must include at least 15 semester hours in Social Services-related instruction.

Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience in counseling or a closely related field. Previous Job Corps or similar residential youth development program experience is highly preferred.

License: A valid state Driver's License is required, along with meeting company insurability requirements (as you may occasionally transport students).

Core Strengths: Exceptional active listening and behavioral management skills, strong critical thinking, clear professional communication, and a deep commitment to treating students with care and respect.
