What you’ll achieve
As Global Cybersecurity Senior Counsel, you will be responsible for advising and providing legal support toDell’s Chief Information Security Officer and global cybersecurity organization and the Fraud Investigations team under the VP - Global Security Operations, within the Security and Resiliency Organization (SRO).As part of your role, you will work on some of the most cutting-edge legal issues in partnership with cross-functional business functions including: IT, Privacy, Supply Chain Security, Governance Risk & Compliance and Global Audit.

You will:

  • Provide primary legal counsel to Dell’s CISO and broader cybersecurity organization, including the cybersecurity incident response team (CSIRT), and the VP – Global Security Operations and Fraud Investigations team, on security incidents/data breach and fraud investigations and advise on response and remediation activities

  • Provide legal advice and counsel to SRO and the global Dell business on the development of cybersecurity-related policies, procedures, protocols, assessments, and reporting requirements. Review and provide guidance on Dell’s cybersecurity practices, including adoption of applicable controls and industry certifications

  • Contribute to the ongoing creation and update of cyber-security related legal templates & playbooks and incident response runbooks; assist with Incident Response tabletop exercises

  • Provide legal awareness and compliance training to legal colleagues and business clients on cybersecurity matters, including incident response

  • Perform legal research on emerging cybersecurity laws and regulations impacting Dell and collaborate with global stakeholders on and compliance efforts to ensure effective compliance programs

Essential Requirements

  • JD and admission to practice law in the United States with a minimum of 5-7 years relevant law firm, in-house or government experience with a focus on cybersecurity, incident response and compliance

  • Experience with counseling clients on cybersecurity and IT compliance matters, insider threat, risk management and audits

  • Hands-on experience counseling on global cybersecurity and data protection laws and regulatory frameworks (e.g., NIS2, DORA, NYDFS, PCI-DSS, GDPR, CMMC, NIST- CSF, NIST 800-171)

  • Strong investigative, analytical, written and oral communication skills; strong sense of ownership and accountability and ability to make decisions efficiently and quickly

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment while organizing and managing multiple responsibilities and projects with competing priorities and deadlines


Desirable Requirements

  • Understanding of IT and cybersecurity technical concepts and methodologies and ability to communicate and discuss technical concepts

  • Experience in legal project management, legal risk management, technology contract negotiations

Compensation
Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is $170,850. - $221,100.
