Principal Cybersecurity Resilience Leader

Location: Remote (U.S. based)

Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $200,000 – $210,000 base salary (depending on experience) + full benefits

A rapidly growing fintech company transforming digital payments across highly regulated industries is seeking a Principal Cybersecurity Resilience Leader. This is a high-impact, fully remote position for a seasoned cybersecurity professional ready to take ownership of key security operations and resilience programs.

In this role, you will act as both a technical and strategic lead—driving core initiatives across vulnerability management, incident response, and third-party MDR (Managed Detection and Response) oversight. You’ll play a hands-on role in shaping and strengthening security operations while guiding the organization's broader security resilience and governance strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mature the company’s vulnerability management program
• Oversee and optimize incident response workflows and playbooks
• Manage the MDR partnership, refining escalation paths, triage processes, and detection tuning
• Conduct firewall tuning, API security assessments, and secure integration design reviews
• Guide efforts to elevate security maturity from CMMI Level 3 to Level 5, contributing to overall governance, process improvement, and cross-functional alignment

What You Bring:

• Proven experience in vulnerability management and incident response leadership
• Strong understanding of MDR platforms and managed service coordination
• Technical expertise across network security, API security, and secure system integration
• Experience working in regulated industries (fintech, financial services, etc.) is a strong plus
• Ability to influence across teams, with excellent communication and leadership skills
