Job summary

Hartford HealthCare at Home is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. Under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, you will administer OT treatments and contribute to patient evaluation and treatment planning.

Responsibilities include supporting daily living activities, communicating patient progress, and educating patients and caregivers. This role may operate across inpatient, outpatient, home care, skilled nursing, or assisted living settings

Qualifications

• Associates Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current State of CT Occupational Therapy Assistant license required.
• Current NBCOT COTA Certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).
• For Home Care Only: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Administer Occupational Therapy treatments under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Provide objective measures for evaluation and assist in determining treatment plans.
• Work in Inpatient, Outpatient, Home Care, Skilled Nursing, or Assisted Living environments as assigned.
• Assist with clinical observation and communicate patient progress to the OT and health care team.
• Perform therapeutic techniques to support daily living, leisure, and productivity activities.
• Educate patients and caregivers about treatment, precautions, and equipment use; document care plans and progress.
