Job summary

CommuniCare Rehab at Martinsburg Healthcare Center in Martinsburg, WV is seeking a Full Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). This in-house opportunity supports residents’ independence and quality of life under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.

The role involves direct treatment, team collaboration, and adherence to rehab documentation. Eligible candidates hold a COTA degree and a state license (or pending).

Qualifications

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) education, obtained in an accredited two-year associate degree program
• Hold a valid or pending State Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant License

Responsibilities

• Helps clients improve their quality of life by helping them compensate for limitations, such as assisting injured workers to re-enter the labor force, and teaching independence in daily tasks.
• Implements treatment plan through direct treatment and collaboration with Occupational Therapist, educates treatment staff and other team members, and involves family consultation and training.
• Complies with the documentation requirements of the rehab department and facility under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
