Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to deliver direct rehab care in occupational therapy for patients in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting. The COTA works under a licensed OT in accordance with laws and Life Care standards.

Ideal candidates are NBCOT-certified, licensed in the state, with ASOT education and CPR certification. New grads are welcome to apply and CPR is required on hire or during orientation.

Qualifications

• NBCOT certification required on hire; renewal optional.
• Graduate of an accredited OT program (ASOT).
• Currently licensed/registered in the applicable state.
• CPR certification required on hire or during orientation.
• One year experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Follow occupational treatment plans under the supervising OT.
• Chart appropriately and in a timely manner.
• Utilize therapy software accurately for patient care.
• Provide excellent customer service and a positive attitude.
• Communicate effectively on an interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and professional conduct.
