Job summary

Emerald Healthcare & Rehab Cozad seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to deliver rehabilitative services under the supervision of an OT, helping residents improve functional abilities in line with federal and state standards.

The role includes planning, organizing OT services, maintaining accurate documentation, assisting with ADL retraining, mobility, and cognitive stimulation, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to achieve resident goals.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate degree in OT and active COTA certification in the state of practice.
• Graduation from an accredited OTA program is required.
• Licensed/certified as a COTA in the applicable state.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic activities per OT care plan.
• Monitor and report patient progress to supervising OT.
• Maintain accurate documentation of treatments.
• Assist with ADL retraining, mobility, and cognitive stimulation.
• Prepare and clean therapy area and equipment.
• Schedule resident therapy with team members.
• Comply with CMS documentation standards.
