Job summary

West Shore Post-Acute in Alameda, California is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support delivery of occupational therapy services under the supervision of an OT. The role focuses on helping residents achieve functional independence and improve quality of life, with a patient-centered approach.

You will collaborate with the rehabilitation team and interdisciplinary staff, document progress, and assist with activities of daily living and adaptive equipment training.

Qualifications

• Active California COTA license in good standing.
• Experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation settings preferred; new graduates welcome.
• Knowledge of PDPM and basic documentation standards
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Compassionate, patient, and resident-centered care
• Physical ability to safely assist residents with mobility and therapeutic exercises
