Job summary

Abbotsford Health Care Center in Abbotsford, WI is seeking an Occupational Therapy Aide. You will assist in delivering therapeutic activities and document resident progress under supervision, helping residents regain independence and maintain dignity in a compassionate setting.

Responsibilities include following physician orders, providing adaptive treatments, maintaining reports, and collaborating with the care team to ensure safety and quality care for residents.

Qualifications

• Verbal and written communication and organizational skills are required.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions.
• Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.

Responsibilities

• Follow physicians’ orders and supervise under an occupational therapist.
• Provide treatment to help residents maintain or regain function.
• Prevent decline in residents’ function with adaptive equipment and care.
• Maintain timely resident reports in line with regulations.
• Observe infection control and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with residents, families and staff as part of the care team.
• Comply with facility policies and Residents’ Rights policies.
• Attend required Corporate Compliance Program activities if applicable.
