Northwood Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Lowell is seeking a full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our general rehab team. You will provide direct resident treatments under supervision and help collect assessment data, with emphasis on quality patient care and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant is required.
• Massachusetts OTA license is required.
• CEUs per state licensure requirements.

Responsibilities

• Under physician’s order, provides direct resident treatments in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Contributes to team meetings and decision making processes.
• Consults with and trains patients, residents and caregivers.
• Monitors efficiencies in collaboration with supervisor.
• Documents activities in the clinical documentation system on a timely basis.
• Demonstrates knowledge of Medicare and reimbursement regulations.
