Job summary

Sweetwater Care and Rehab is seeking a Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant to join a close-knit in-house therapy team. You will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to implement treatment programs, document progress, and support patient care within a busy rehab department.

The role welcomes therapists at all experience levels and emphasizes collaboration, training opportunities for staff, and a constructive, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant required.
• Position open to therapists at all experience levels.
• Demonstrates strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients as directed by the Occupational Therapist and adhere to facility documentation guidelines.
• Record treatments and progress notes in the medical record.
• Assist in maintaining department operations.
• Participate in Patient Care and Rehabilitation Conferences
• Assist with cleaning and maintenance of treatment area.
• Communicate patient progress with supervisor and health team members.

Responsibilities:

• Treat patients as directed by the Occupational Therapist and adhere to facility documentation guidelines
• Record treatments given and progress notes in medical record
• Assist in maintaining department
• Participate in Patient Care and Rehabilitation Conferences
• Assist with cleaning and maintenance of treatment area
• Communicate with supervisor and other health team members regarding patient progress, problems and plans.
• Participate in training programs for other staff in the facility
• Record treatment charges per the facility policy and procedures
• Instruct patient's families or nursing staff in maintenance program

Experience/Qualifications:

Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant
