North Texas Rehabilitation Institute, part of the Ernest Health network, in Plano, Texas, is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) on a PRN basis. Under the supervision of an occupational therapist, you will provide rehabilitative services to patients with physical impairments and help monitor progress.

Ideal candidates hold current state licensure as a COTA and a current BLS/CPR card; one year of rehab hospital experience is preferred.

  • One year of direct patient care experience in rehabilitation hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of an occupational therapist, provides rehabilitative services to individuals with physical impairments. Monitors the patient's program and records patient's progress for the occupational therapist.

COTA- PRN- Plano, Texas

North Texas Rehabilitation Institute is a 48-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Plano, TX, serving the North Dallas region as part of the Ernest Health network. The hospital provides comprehensive rehabilitation for patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, orthopedic and trauma surgery, and other complex medical conditions, and is recognized as a CIHQ Center of Excellence in both Rehabilitation Services and Stroke Care. Known for its collaborative culture and innovative therapy programs, NTRI emphasizes individualized care and measurable recovery outcomes in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications
Required Skills
  • Current licensure as a COTA required per state guidelines.
  • Current Basic Life Support/CPR card required.
  • One year of direct patient care experience in rehabilitation hospital setting preferred.
