Job summary

Olive Branch Health and Rehab in Pensacola, FL seeks a licensed COTA to provide patient care in a 90-bed short-term rehab facility. You will monitor progress, encourage recovery, and help patients regain independence.

This PRN role requires weekend availability (one weekend per month or two weekend days) and weekday coverage, with duties including teaching caregivers and updating records. Florida COTA license is required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor a patient’s progress to ensure treatment goals are met.
• Encourage patients during their recovery process.

• Instruct patients and caregivers in skills to support the treatment program.
• Update patient records for the Occupational Therapist.
• Maintain clean and orderly office, treatment room and equipment.

Job description

Responsible for treating patients with therapeutic and self-care activities. The job requires candidates to perform a variety of duties including the following:

• Monitoring a patient’s progress to make sure that they’re successfully completing treatment

• Encouraging the patient during their recovery process

• Helping patients to improve their quality of life by finding solutions to their problems

• Teaching patients with disabilities to become more independent

• Updating patient records for the Occupational Therapist

• Keeping the office, treatment room and equipment in good order

• Teaching patients, family members or other Caregivers skills and techniques to help with the patients’ treatment program

Job Types: PRN, must commit to working one weekend a month or two weekend days per month, also need weekday coverage

Medical Specialty:

License/Certification:

• current Florida COTA license (Required)
