  • Complete timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with facility, state, federal, and payer requirements.
  • Maintain a safe treatment environment by following infection control, safety, and equipment maintenance protocols.
  • Participate in Resident Care Conferences and rehabilitation meetings as needed.
  • Assist the nursing department with training Restorative Aides.
  • Communicate regularly with the supervising Occupational Therapist regarding resident progress, treatment goals, physician updates, and discharge planning.

Join Our Rehabilitation Team! Hayward Gardens Post Acute is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation department on a PRN basis. Working under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the COTA provides hands-on treatment to help residents regain independence, improve functional abilities, and enhance their quality of life in a skilled nursing and post-acute setting.


Position Summary

The COTA assists the Occupational Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans, providing direct resident care, documenting treatment services, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal rehabilitation outcomes.
