Job summary

Powdersville Post Acute in Easley, SC is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for PRN engagement. Under the supervision of a licensed OT, you will deliver therapeutic interventions to improve residents' function and independence.

This role emphasizes flexibility, strong documentation, and collaboration with therapy and nursing teams to support high-quality resident care in a 60-bed skilled nursing facility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current South Carolina COTA license in good standing.
• Must maintain all required continuing education requirements.
• Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care preferred.
• Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) and Casamba preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy treatments as directed by the Occupational Therapist
• Follow physician orders and individualized treatment plans
• Document daily treatment notes, progress notes, and other required therapy records
• Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the therapy team
• Assist with discharge planning and caregiver education
• Train restorative aides and collaborate with nursing staff as needed
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning
• Maintain therapy equipment and treatment areas
• Report equipment issues and safety concerns promptly
• Ensure compliance with state practice acts, facility policies, and regulatory requirements
• Provide exceptional customer service to residents, families, and team members

Position Summary
