Rehabilitation Hospital of Northwest Ohio in Toledo, Ohio seeks a per diem Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team of patient caregivers. The role supports inpatient rehabilitation for stroke, brain/spinal injuries, and orthopedic patients with one-on-one therapy sessions.

Under OT supervision, you will deliver rehabilitative services, monitor patient progress, and help ensure high-quality care aligned with our mission and guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Current licensure as a COTA required per state guidelines.
  • CPR/Basic Life Support certification required.
  • One year of direct patient care experience in rehabilitation hospital setting preferred.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking and understanding of treatment costs in clinical practice.
  • Excellent communication, confidentiality and teamwork skills.
  • Proficient with data entry, word processing, email and record management.

Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of an occupational therapist, provides rehabilitative services to individuals with physical impairments.
  • Monitors the patient's program and records patient's progress for the occupational therapist.
  • Supports the hospital's mission and guiding principles in daily practice.

We are seeking a per diem COTA to join our team of passionate patient caregivers!

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Current licensure as a COTA required per state guidelines.
  • Current Basic Life Support/CPR card required.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality.
  • Ability to work closely and professionally with others.
  • Ability to move quickly from one task to another and to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to use appropriate equipment necessary for the job
