Job summary

Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation in San Antonio, TX, seeks an experienced COTA/OTA to provide individualized neurorehabilitation in real-world settings. The role emphasizes autonomy, collaboration, and meaningful outcomes for stroke, TBI, and SCI clients.

You will work with a rehab team, fabricating assistive devices, and facilitating community reintegration, with a flexible schedule and pay-per-hour compensation. A strong clinical background in neurorehabilitation is required.

Qualifications

• Degree from a certified occupational therapy assistant training program.
• Current Occupational Therapist Assistant certification.
• Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and neuro-rehabilitation techniques.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience assisting in the assessment and management of traumatic brain injury or related neurological conditions.
• Current CPR certification.
• Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and orthopedic rehabilitation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Occupational Therapist in implementing vocational and educational activities to restore and reinforce task performance and promote health and self-sufficiency.
• Designing and adapting equipment for working and living environments, including fabricating assistive devices to improve participation.
• Conducting community reintegration activities to assist individuals with their occupational therapy needs during physical activity.
• Providing training to individuals and others involved in rehabilitation, and documenting training results.
• Supporting individuals' plan of treatment by reporting status changes to the rehabilitation team.

Responsibilities
