Job summary

Sweetwater Care seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our in-house rehabilitation team in Topeka, KS. You will implement plans of care under supervision, support patient progress, and contribute to long- and short-term recovery in a skilled nursing setting.

Eligible candidates must hold an active COTA license and have the ability to work in a compassionate, team-oriented environment. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered for full-time applicants.

Qualifications

• Must hold active state licensure as a COTA.
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant credentials required.
• Experience in skilled nursing or rehab setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients according to the plan of care set by the supervising OT.
• Communicate patient progress and concerns to the OT.
• Assist in patient plan of care meetings as needed.
• Record treatment and progress notes and assist with billing of services.
• Maintain compliance with state practice acts and facility policies.
• Assist with discharge summaries and transition planning.
