Job summary

Sweetwater Care seeks a Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant to support the rehabilitation team in a busy rehab department. You will treat patients under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, document treatments, and assist with program maintenance and family instruction.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients under the direction of the Occupational Therapist and follow guidelines.
• Record treatments and progress notes in the medical record.
• Assist in maintaining department operations.
• Participate in Patient Care and Rehabilitation Conferences.
• Assist with cleaning and maintenance of the treatment area.
• Communicate patient progress and plans with supervisor and health team.
• Participate in staff training sessions within the facility.
• Record treatment charges per policy and procedures.
• Instruct patient's families or nursing staff in maintenance programs.
