Job summary

Sweetwater Care seeks a Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant to support rehabilitation services in our facility. You will treat patients under the direction of the Occupational Therapist, document treatments, and help maintain department operations.

You will participate in Patient Care and Rehabilitation Conferences, assist with treatment area maintenance, communicate progress to the supervisor and health team, train staff, and guide families in maintenance programs.

Qualifications

• OTA license required.
• Therapists at all experience levels may apply.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients under the OT direction and follow documentation guidelines.
• Record treatments and progress notes in the medical record.
• Assist in maintaining the department.
• Join Patient Care and Rehabilitation Conferences.
• Help clean and maintain the treatment area.
• Communicate progress, problems and plans to the supervisor and health team.
• Participate in staff training within the facility.
• Record treatment charges per policy.
• Instruct families or nursing staff in maintenance programs.
