Job summary

Palmetto Subacute Care Center in Florida is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to carry out best practice treatments under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist. The COTA will provide treatment aligned with goals set by the OT and communicate progress accordingly.

The role requires a valid license and registration, prior experience with long-term or geriatric care is preferred, strong documentation skills, timely progress notes, teamwork with disciplines, and

Qualifications

• Valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care preferred.
• Proficient in documentation writing and timely weekly progress notes.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide patient-centered care.
• Maintains professionalism and punctuality at all times.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment under supervision of Occupational Therapist.
• Adhere to goals developed by the OT.
• Provide feedback to supervision OT via documentation.
• Document patient progress weekly.
• Collaborate with all disciplines for best patient-centered care.
• Report to work on time and adhere to scheduled hours.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation.
