Job summary

Quality Center for Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to carry out best practice treatments under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. The COTA will follow goals developed by the OT and provide feedback through documentation as required by facility policy.

The role emphasizes comprehensive patient treatment, coordination with the care team, and timely progress documentation, with focus on geriatric and long-term care populations

Qualifications

• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under supervision of Occupational Therapist.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred.
• Well versed with documentation writing.
• Document patient’s progress on weekly progress note in a timely fashion.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence.
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to deliver patient-centered care.
• Document patient progress on weekly notes in a timely manner.
• Demonstrate professionalism and punctuality in all duties.
• Carry out duties as assigned by the Director of Rehabilitation.
