Qualifications

• Requires an Associate degree from an accredited OTA program.
• Current COTA certification and Indiana licensure eligibility.
• Experience in long-term care or geriatric rehab preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Ability to guide residents in ADLs with compassion.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assessment of residents' functional abilities under supervision of licensed OTs.
• Implement therapeutic interventions per residents' treatment plans to address deficits.
• Provide hands-on assistance during ADLs, mobility training, and rehab activities.
• Monitor residents' progress, document sessions, and communicate with the therapy team.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on adaptive techniques and home modifications.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to optimize resident care.
• Participate in facility meetings, in-service trainings, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Support discharge planning and coordination of post-discharge services.
