Job summary

Mills Pond Rehabilitation & Nursing Center seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to deliver supervised, evidence‑based treatments for geriatric patients in a long‑term care setting.

You will assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing goals, documenting progress weekly, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care. The position calls for punctuality and professional conduct, with comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under supervision of Occupational Therapist.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care preferred.
• Well versed with documentation writing.
• Document patient's progress on weekly progress note in a timely fashion.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence.
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation

Responsibilities

• Carry out best practice treatments under supervision of the OT.
• Provide feedback to supervision occupational therapist via documentation as required by policy.
• Document patient's progress on weekly notes in a timely fashion.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to provide patient centered care.
