Job summary

Chatham Hills Subacute Care Center in Watchung, NJ is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to carry out best-practice treatments under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist. The COTA will provide treatment by adhering to goals developed by the OT and will document progress as required by facility policy.

Applicants must have a valid state license/registration as a COTA and experience with long-term or geriatric care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid state license and registration as a COTA.
• Provide treatment under supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Experience with long-term/geriatric care preferred.
• Strong documentation writing and timely weekly progress notes.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide patient-centered care.
• Demonstrates exceptional patient service skills and professionalism.
• Reports to work on time and adheres to scheduled hours.

Responsibilities

• Carry out best-practice treatments under OT supervision.
• Document patient progress according to facility policy.
• Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to ensure quality patient care.
• Assist with all duties assigned by the Director of Rehabilitation.
