Job summary

Highlands Health and Rehab is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our Therapy Team. The COTA will plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in the facility in accordance with federal, state, and local standards and regulations.

This role involves evaluating residents, implementing treatment plans, documenting care, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
• TN OTA licensure is required.
• Ongoing continuing education to maintain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular screening of residents to determine best intervention.
• Perform treatment plans with short and long-term goals per plan of care.
• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, plans, and recommendations.
• Establish individual resident therapy schedules with team members.
• Conduct therapy according to treatment plan and ensure proper documentation and billing.
• Comply with CMS documentation standards daily.
