Job summary

PureHealth is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to deliver therapy services under supervision in a post-acute setting in Albuquerque, NM.

With a focus on patient-centered care, you will participate in assessments, contribute to treatment plans, document progress, and collaborate with the health team to ensure high-quality outcomes for inpatients and outpatients alike.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers at all levels of the organization.
• Basic computer skills. Must have an ability to learn new systems.
• Ability to work with a culturally diverse population.
• Must have positive communication skills and demonstrated adequate maturity and patience.
• Proficient in the English language. Good communication (verbal and written), customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Must have good organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Must be able to successfully prioritize workload, demonstrate initiative, and analyze situations to make sound decisions.
• Must be observant and recognize cleaning needs.
• Must show initiative and take action on observed needs.
• Must maintain first impression perfection at all times Required.
• COTA License required.
• Active license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services under supervision as assigned.
• Contribute to assessment of inpatients and outpatients under OT direction.
• Assist in treatment plan implementation aligned with patient goals.
• Document daily charges, progress notes, and reports.
• Monitor treatment effectiveness and adjust as needed.
• Educate customers and families at appropriate levels.
• Coordinate and communicate with health team members for comprehensive care.
• Demonstrate competency in unit-specific clinical skills annually.
• Manage schedule to meet productivity targets and report issues.
