Job summary

Innovate Rehab and Wellness in Ruston, LA is seeking a licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our skilled nursing team. This full-time role supports delivery of high-quality OT services and helps residents regain independence.

You will implement treatment plans, document progress in the EMR, and collaborate with nursing, PT, SLP, and other staff. Competitive hourly pay based on experience, with comprehensive benefits starting day one.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from an accredited OTA program.
• Current NBCOT certification.
• Valid state OTA license.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans created by the Occupational Therapist.
• Provide direct patient care per state and facility guidelines.
• Monitor and document resident progress; report changes to the OT.
• Educate residents and caregivers on adaptive techniques and equipment.
• Collaborate with nursing, PT, SLP, and other healthcare staff.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR.
• Participate in care planning and discharge planning.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and all regulations.
