Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Abilene in Abilene, TX seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to bridge dedication to detail and patient outcomes. Provide occupational therapy treatment and care under supervision, with empathy and compassion, contributing to recovery from stroke and other conditions.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure or certification, or as applicable.
• CPR certification preferred, unless hospital policy requires otherwise.
• Associate’s degree from an accredited OTA program preferred.
• Effective communication with patients and families required.
• Demonstrated competency in occupational therapy essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide OT treatment and patient care per regulations and guidelines.
• Perform OT tasks as delegated and supervised by OTs.
• Maintain open communication with hospital departments to meet patient and staff needs.
