Job summary

MedCadre is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide occupational therapy services under the direction of an Occupational Therapist and help patients improve functional independence and daily living skills.

The role involves implementing treatment plans, delivering therapeutic activities to enhance strength, coordination, mobility, and daily living activities, and educating patients and caregivers on exercises, adaptive techniques, and safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current COTA certification and applicable state licensure/registration.
• Current BLS certification.
• Previous clinical, rehabilitation, or healthcare experience preferred.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-care skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Provide therapeutic activities to improve strength, coordination, mobility, and daily living skills.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the Occupational Therapist.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, adaptive techniques, and safe activities.
• Promote a safe and supportive treatment environment.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and collaborate with the healthcare team.
