Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current BLS or CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care under the direction of a registered occupational therapist.
• Implements treatment plans as stipulated by supervising OT.
• Provides clear instruction to patients and families.
• Communicates patient progress and plans with supervisor and health team members.
• Offers caregiver training to patients’ families or staff.
• Maintains documentation in accordance with regulatory and accrediting requirements.
• Maintains knowledge of clinical best practices through seminars and journals.
• Meets continuing education requirements.
• Contributes to a positive facility culture as a staff member.
• Demonstrates safe working practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
